    hi

ok i have video files taken from my sony DV cam and they’re about a gig in size each.

I was wondering how i can burn these to disk using encore and/or Premiere pro whilst retaining the highest quality possible and making the aspect ratio fit to PAL television.

What settings should i be using to get the best?

    thanks ppl!!!

1 gig is about 5 minutes of DV video. Is that how long each of the files are?

At that length, you’ll have no problem using the max bitrate setting for DVD-legal MPEG-2 files. But for compatibility with all DVD players, I’d recommend you top it out 7000 Mbps. It’ll still look great at that rate.

should i use automatic transcode settings are select custom settings.

Also will the video fit my PAL tv screen when using these settings?

    thank you!

The automatic settings will be fine. Is your DV camera a PAL camera? If so, then yes.
