  • Returning to LOOP POINT… NOT… Intro Animation

I have a 12.5 second Intro animation that leads to a menu background that loops for about 3 min. All movies are set to MENU for an END ACTION. I have set the loop point at 12.5 seconds but when the movies end the MENU starts from the intro animation.

Does anyone know how to set up the movies to return to the loop point in the MENU and not to start at the intro animation?

Help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Loop Point specifies two things: when button highlights are turned on, and where the menu loops back to after it has played.

It’s not possible (in Encore), to return to a motion menu at a certain timecode value. For this kind of functionality, you would need two menus.

I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone here. I worked on a project about 6 months ago, I could’ve sworn the DVD was set up to return to the loop point without creating another menu.

The more I look into it, it seems I couldn’t have done it any other way. Anyway thanks for the help, I’m creating the two menus right now.
