  Sony NX5 with Atomos 2 ninja recorder

  I’m having trouble setting up the Sony NX5 with the Atomos 2 Ninja recorder. The recorder is not talking to the camera and displays “no input” on the screen. It is hooked up using an HDMI cable, and I’ve ensured that the output setting on the camera is set to HDMI.

  Is there another setting that I have missed? Or does anyone know why the recorder is not reading the camera?

  Any help would be great, thanks!

  Hi Alex,

  Connect the HDMI from camera directly to a monitor, does that work?

  Ninja 2 has TWO HDMI ports, one is output. Make sure you’re on the input 😉
