Editing HDSLR – Pick-up shoot in HDV – 1080p and space ?
I’m editing HDSLR video footage at 1920×1080 at 29.97fps, ProRes.
I’m doing a pick up shoot using my friend’s Sony HXR-NX5U.
I see listed on B&H these shooting formats:
AVCHD FX (24Mbps) 1920 x 1080/60i
AVCHD FH (17Mbps) 1920 x 1080/60i
AVCHD HQ (9Mbps) 1440 x 1080/60i
AVCHD LP (5Mbps) 1440 x 1080/60i
AVCHD FX (24Mbps) 1920 x 1080/24p
AVCHD FH (17Mbps) 1920 x 1080/24p
AVCHD FX (24Mbps) 1920 x 1080/30p
AVCHD FH (17Mbps) 1920 x 1080/30pShould the new footage be shot at:
AVCHD FX (24Mbps) 1920 x 1080/30p
or
AVCHD FH (17Mbps) 1920 x 1080/30pMy guess is that “AVCHD FX (24Mbps) 1920 x 1080/30p” would be the way to go.
Please let me know if this is correct, and anything else that should be considered.
At this rate / setting – how many hours of footage could I record at once on to the camera? This I need to know just as much because I expect to shoot 3-4 hours of material.
Thank you kindly.
