FS5 n00b – proxy record on fs5 and 4k on inferno?
Hey all – my company just upgraded our camera equipment from a Canon XA10 to a Sony FS5. I’m absolutely loving it thus far, but still getting my feet wet with a the camera and the Shogun Inferno we had attached to it. Never used either before the purchase, just lots of reading.
Is it possible to record proxy footage to the FS5 and still capture the 4k to the Inferno? My gut says no, that I have to have the internal FS5 recording set to max in order to allow the 4k output to the Inferno. Is that true?
I do see the proxy mode in the FS5, but its currently grayed out. I’m assuming because I only had one memory card populated at the time? I’m going to test that with 2 this afternoon as it may just solve my issue.
