  Can’t import SxS XDcam footage into FCP-X with the plugin…

  We just got a few of the 300k1’s. Love the cameras, not a fan of what I’m dealing with importing the footage into FCP-X. The footage is 422@50, and I’ve downloaded all the most recent drivers and software packs from Sony. I CAN get the footage info X by using the content browser and selecting “import to FCP-X”. What I can’t do is get the footage off the cards directly from the “import” function in X. I can see the card, see the folders, see the MXF files, but they are all grayed-out and nothing can be done from the window.

  Anyone have any assistance?

  The EX series has two different ways to offload data… one through the XDCAM transfer software and the other through FAM settings in the camera, which is what you use if you want to transfer from the camera straight to computer without using the SxS card reader.
