  • How to split/ recover different sound channel recordings on XDCAM

    Hi there,

I have imported my files to final cut pro X. I recorded some talking head monologues using a radio mic and the XDCAM’s own top mounted mic. Unfortunately, there is some major scuffling and rustling coming over the radio mic recording, but I have no idea how to recover the XDCAM’s own recorded sound, or to split the sound file to reveal both channel’s separate recordings?

I’m a real novice at this kind of thing so some really simple advice (if there is a simple solution) would be really appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Harri

If you right click on the tracks in the timeline and select Expand Audio Video, then Expand Audio, you should see the original multichannel recording from the camera. Is this what you need to do?
