  • Copying of a clip is not possible

I was copying the whole disk with SuperDuper when a particular file stopped everything:

The same result in XDCam Browser and the Finder.

XDcam Brower show that 16% of the clip is copied before this message stops the action.

I have unlocked the files in the info-window.

    Have never experienced this before.

    TIA

Does the file behave normally when in the camera? I.E. can it be played back from beginning to end?

Yes, it is played from the harddrive with XDCam Browser from start to end without problems.

can you rewrap into FCP and then re-export a new .mp4?

Do you mean that the new .mp4 could replace the faulty one inside BPAV?

I´ll give it a try tomorrow.

But how could this thing even be possible? (No, I don´t need to know …)

no, we’re hoping that the re-wrap into FCP succeeds and that we can then export a new file. if this works it will put a loose .mp4 on the root of CLPR. in the OTHERS menu on the camera, select CLIP–>UPDATE to register the new file and create the metadata.

No, I could not import the whole clip. But it is al long clip – 5 min – and I could use the first third of it. Then I plan to delete the clip and then be able to do a backup of the whole HDD. Just hopin´…

Just checking in to see how it’s going? Let me know if we still need to try and figure out a workaround. Been offline for a few days.. Can’t tell from the above if the FCP re-wrap worked.
