  • XDCAM into Premiere, audio at end hangs after cache it built

I’m importing XDCAM into Premiere Pro CS5.5 on a PC windows 7 system. There are several shows that the file fades to black and audio out right at the end of the file (no extra footage). ON these the audio keeps repeating (like a old stuck record, if you remember them). It is happening on 3 files that come from the same place. The audio problem is within secs of the end. I have deleted the cache and had PP rebuild it. Problem happens at the same place it did before. I have tried drag and drop from the finder and Media Browser.

I have edited XDCAM before and not had this problem. The only this that is difference most shows had at least a few seconds to black/silence at the end of a show. These are not raw camera but finished edits delivered on XDCAM. These files do open up in Sony’s viewer software and play fine.

I’m fairly new to PP and limited time with XDCAM so I maybe missing something.

Hi Michael, I’m trying to fix the same issue on my PP5.5 with XDCAM .mxf clips, did you find a solution to that perhaps?
