  Sony EX1R zoom ring handle

  Hi Guys

  I have recently made the upgrade from the Sony EX1 to the Sony EX1R as my old one was getting super worn out and I didn’t want to change manufacturer as I had committed to all of the lenses, cards etc.

  One question for any of you that might know. On my old EX1, the little handle around the zoom ring was quite easy to unscrew and I found this a nice feature as it sometimes gets int he way when shooting handheld. On my new EX1R, I have found this handle is really tight and I’m afraid if I try and unscrew it with too much force i will break something.

  

  Can anyone tell me if this piece is still removable on the updated EX1R?
