  Working in europe/110 to 220 polarity?

  I noticed that our 110v “fin” style plugs have a built-in polarity checker on one of the fins. 110v to 220v adapters either don’t have such distinction or I have to file the fin to make it fit. Do I need to be concerned about polarity in the european 220v system?
