    Hi-
I need to know if anyone thinks this is possible, before I keep going down this road.
USing Trapcode Particular, I would like to have random particles emit from a specific location and build into a shape. They could even just fill up a shape mask.
I am almost thinking I would need to do this in reverse, start with the shape and have it break up into particles that move back to a central point and then reverse it.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this…

Yup, use a Layer Emitter and then reverse the effect.
