I’m on a shoot in Jamaica right now and woke up this morning, went to turn in my EX1 and nothing – no power. The battery is fully charged and the camera was working fine yesterday.
The climate is very hot and humid here and we spend a lot of time going from the inside (cool and air conditioned), to the outside.
The camera has not gotten wet – shot yesterday, got home, put the camera on the coffee table, woke up this morning and it didn’t work.

Still have another week to shoot and it would be bad to be down a camera…any ideas?

Try using the battery charger as AC source just to eliminate the battery or battery compartments as part of the issue.

Just tried that and still nothing.

Try removing the little internal battery for a few minutes, turn camera on and off to make sure that’s discharged and then putting that back in. If it’s software related that might fix it.

    Where is the internal battery?

On the bottom right next to where the screw goes to hold the tripod plate. See page 17 of EX1 PDF manual.
Page 118 shows how to take it off. There’s a little screw holding the door to the battery.
