  SONY EX3 XDCAM 24P to HDV 60i conversion

  Hello there forum!

  What’s the best workflow to get HD24P files recorded on the EX3 converted to HDV 60i format for offline editing on an AVID Media Composer?

  What’s the point of that? There’s very little file size difference between 35mbps and 25mbps and a whole let of extra work.

  Network requires 24P shooting and 60i delivery. AVID does not upres 24P to 60i, so we need to transcode with 4:2 pulldown to offline and then upres at the end.

  Telestream Episode has a Standards Conversion preset that will take 24p and convert to 1080i60 HDV add pulldown.

  I’m sure your editor can output as 60i with HD Can SR tape.
