  Shotput Pro and Primera Blu-Ray

  OK, I have been getting the run-around from Imagine and Primera….

  I have not been able to use Shotput Pro (V2.17) to archive footage to our Primera Bravo XR Blu-ray duplicator.

  Both Primera and Imagine have released patches, new software, etc, but have never been able to explain to me how to successfully backup a BPAV folder to blu-ray and then be able to restore it.

  Is there anyone using this work flow successfully?

  I don’t use ShotPut but are trying to write straight to Blu-ray from it? I’m thinking the throughput from SP is far faster than the BR can write and that may be at issue. If you go to hard drive first and then copy to BR does that work?

  Right now I am trying to backup from the hard drive, as a function from Shotput. The blu-ray disc burns without errors, but it is the restore back from the blu-ray disc to hard drive I cannot accomplish.

  Can you explain what’s going wrong? Have you tried using another Blu-ray reader?
  Basically I’m wondering if the issue is Primera as player.

  Have not tried another reader yet, this is the only one in the house.
  When I copy the files using finder back from the blu-ray disc to the hard drive, XDCam Transfer does not see any clips (the filesizes from the original BPAV and the restored backup match), not does XDCam transfer see any clips on the blu-ray.
