  Replacement IR Remote Commander (Control) for EX1

  Does anyone know an easy way to order a replacement remote for the EX1? If not, can someone at least tell me the model number for the remote. It doesn’t appear to be in the owner’s manual, and i can’t search the sony parts page without the first few characters of the model number. thanks! R

  Part number is 147957013 or 147957014, according to the Sony site. Model number is RM-F300. It says $53.95, that’s surprisingly cheap. That stupid weak bezel on my LCD cost $75.

  Thank you! Yeah, I think LCD parts might be my next purchase. It’s very wobbly.

  Word of advice: tighten all those little screws NOW. Take ’em out and put blue Loctite on them so they don’t continue to work their way loose. Otherwise you’ll end up with a dangly LCD like we did. The part took over a month to arrive as it was on backorder. The replacement screws had thread locker on them, so I suspect Sony has seen a lot of this.
