Hi any one help i have an ex3 and tried to install the device driver and have message saying installation incomplete you may want to try again, tried but failed, also with the EX3 am i right in thinking you can ingest media direct from the camera via Firewire!!! if so why did sony only supply a USB cable with the camera??

    any help greatly appreciated

I believe the device driver is for the SxS card for an express 34 slot. Down load the driver again, perhaps it is corrupt.

You can only ingest or copy the HQ files from the camera with USB not firewire.

    Good Luck

Is this a laptop? You’ll need version driver version 1.0.4 which is on the Canadian site but not the USA site.

Firewire is HDV video only, not file transfer.
File transfer is via USB or SxS card reader (Sony’s or Expresss Port in laptop).
