  SDI output to scaler? (EX3)

  I bought a EX3 about 3 months ago, still have a lot to learn, but working with a lot of pleasure with my camera. Although i have a question about the video output signal for live registration.

  I want to use the SDI output for live registration and want to connect my camera to a extron IN1508 scaler, but have no experience with this, does anybody knows or this is possible and what kind of cable i need?

  I already used the monitor out, but when recording the rec icon en de slot which is recording shows ont the big screen.

  I’ve already found the problem! we have a tried another scaler, and it is working perfect!

  What was the other scaler?
  Don’t keep it a secret as there may be others reading this who need to do the same thing.

  Hi there Craig,

  yes indeed, you are totally right, the scaler i now use is a extron USP 507, this scaler works great, the other scaler is another model, tha IN1508.

  Hi this is rizwan I want to no that how can I transfer my footage from EX3 to fcp with SDI signal?
