  XDCAM Transfer

  Don’t know if I’m in the right forum or not, but if someone could help that would be great!! Can you use Sony’s XDCAM Transfer without having Final Cut Pro or similar editing software installed on your machine?

  You’ll get a codec not installed message. It may even be able to re-wrap to .mov but you won’t be able to see the files.

  CalibratedSoftware makes a Quicktime plugin to play XDCAM EX MOV files on systems that don’t have FCP. It’s about $80 I believe.
