  • Quick Memory Format Question

Has anyone had this problem? Not earth shattering, just curious.

Using MxR adapters my cameras will not recognize the SanDisk Ultra II 16GB cards (class 6). I’ve heard and read about having to format twice could anyone help? All of my Transcend cards work fine, but not the 2 SanDisk cards.

Tech: – I own an EX1 and EX3, cards are not recognized in either camera, but I’ve used the MxR adapters with separate cards and they work fine. My laptop (PC running XP) will not read the SanDisk cards either, not option to format, as though no media were present.
Anyone able to explain or have a possible troubleshoot?

Ultra is either Class 2 or Class 4. Extreme is Class 6.
Class 2 needs a double format (appears to reject the first attempt). Lately people have posted Class 4 may not work at all.

    Thanks Craig,
I’m sure my seller shipped the wrong card. I’ve already tried the formatting the card twice. I’ll return the cards.
Many thanks for the rapid response.

Unfortunately it seems the Ultra II Class 4 replaced the Class 2.
Your best bet now the is Transcend Class 6
