    PAL HD frame rates and size are the same data rates as NTSC HD so there’s no problem.
    PAL and NTSC itself are SD so I assume you mean the HD frame rate equivalents.

    No problem to record PAL-land time-base video (real PAL is only SD and only exist as composite video).
    Just read the post (many from Craig) about which cards to buy.
    Don’t waist your money as I did.

    I just had this argument with a poster on another forum. He wanted to know exactly that. He did not want to understand that the EX cameras do not record in PAL or NTSC. As Craig & Rafael stated, PAL (as NTSC & SECAM) are related to SD, not HD. There isn’t PAL or NTSC in HD, just various scanning rates.

    You can set the EX cameras to record the scanning rates to PAL areas & NTSC areas, but you then have the option to set additional rates, especially in NTSC area.

    Yes, PAL equivalents. Thank you for clarifying that. I believe the down converted video out would be PAL.
