  XDCAM2FCP2Flash6 creates fuzzy results

  Not sure where to really put this one so I thought I begin at the front of the workflow.

  Problem is slightly fuzzy results in Sorenson Squeeze codec for Flash 6 player.

  We have used with EX-1 and 3, PDW330 &350 cameras at 1080P 35HQ- edited in FCP and cropped to 4×3, Exported to master Quicktime file using the xdcam settings. The file is then processed in Sorenson v4.8 to create a 400×300 Flash 6 compatible swf file. The image results are a touch soft compared to using the same workflow with DV cam sources or XDCAM at 720P. On the surface it seems like I’m shooting a gnat with a cannon but the results are puzzling. Generally when you shrink bits images can get sharper not softer.
  Any Ideas…

  Hi William,
  The XDCAM codecs are for acquisition. You better export in any other codec, like ProRes.
