“Incomplete” clips won’t import
I have just started using a EX-1 & the XDCAM transfer software.
I can’t import clips that are “incomplete” because they are on different cards (or folders since I had to dump several cards to a folder during a long shoot)XDCAM does not want to import them. I can play them in XDCAM transfer but not import.
I also have some files with the extension SMI instead of mp4.
no idea how or where these different extensions come from.
HELP!

Solved it.
Choose both folders in Transfer tool, select both clips and use the buttons in the logging pane, but I had to scroll down to the bottom to see them.

In the transfer tool select the incomplete clip and then expand the subclips menu next to the source monitor, put a check by both clips or the master clip and then you should be able to import them. Took me two shoots to realize I was missing the footage. How is that for probably missed the money shot!!!!! Kid of feel like Sony should have some kind of automated reconnect, but who knows.
