Preserving italics/bolds after placing word document
hello hello, I’m new to indesign and hoping someone can help me with something… I’ve placed a word document which has italics throughout the book that I’d like to keep. I know that in order to do this I need to first create a character style then use find and replace, however, the search always seems to come up empty apart from the word I’ve selected- from what I’ve read I’m supposed to leave ‘find what/change to’ blank, and select the character style from ‘find format’, but no luck. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?
