Hello, I am curious if there is a way to convert IllustratorCS paths into custom image frames in InDesignCS. I am trying to avoid having to re-draw shapes with the InDesign pen tool..

    Thanks!

Copy path in Illustrator. Paste into InDesign document. Go under the Object menu>Content and select either Graphic or Text.

Remember: to copy from Illustrator and paste into InDesign, you must have your Illustrator prefs set to use AICB (in the File Handling & Clipboard pref) and also choose “preserve paths” for this to work. Keep in mind, this will not be a linked file once placed in InD, so any updates to the AI file would have to be re-copied and re-pasted.
