  outlined text

  hi y’all
  why is it that when i’m Outlining text in InDesign CS1 on a PC platform, the outlined text is copied as a duplicate vector object right above the oiginal text, meaning i have to cut the newly created outlined block, delete the original text block below and then “paste in place” the outlined block. quite frankly its tedious, I’ve checked thru all the pref’s including deleting the pref’s file in the system

  I have CS2 PC and just wanted to report this is working fine.

  I remeber seeing this duplicate after conversion problem when I used to teach InDesign and using the solid selection tool instead of the direct selection tool helped with this problem.
