  AE and m2ts, vegas and so on

  Hello, i’m working on Vegas Pro 11 using footage from my Sony AX2000 cam.
  The footage is in m2ts. I’m starting to use After effects to correct some details in a couple of shots.

  How do I set the render in AE? I need those renders AE outputs to match the cuality of the other shots, preferably without creating huge files, and i’m failing miserably at that.
  Do i need to convert the files before working in AE? Which programs should i use?
