Activity Forums Adobe After Effects error -1309

    I updated a project and need to re render it but I am getting error message -1309.

    Can anyone explain what this means or how to fix this.
    It rendered out fine the first time but now even if I purge the cache it still gives this message.

    I remember that this used to indicate that the file you are attempting to write has gotten too large for your particular file system. It was a result of trying to write to a drive formatted as FAT32, instead of NTFS, and FAT32’s file size limitation were kicking in.

    Oh ok.

    Makes sense. I am on a Mac and the drive is probably formatted for PC.

    Thanks so much for the help. I will reformat the drive.
