Just wondering if there was a gallery that showed a quick snippet of what the included effects are in AE, rather than me having to apply each one I THINK might work just to see what it does. I know AE has a gallery like this of their presets, but not all the other ones. It would help me tremendously esp since I’m relatively new.

It’s not a gallery per se, but you’ll find the sorts of explanatory images you’re looking for in the documentation.

You can browse the effects list [link] and click through to the various effects for more.

The problem with what you’re asking for is that many of the effects can look VASTLY different depending on settings you choose. AE is a very powerful program with some very powerful effects in it. It’s not a click-it-and-it-does-its-thing sort of program. You can tweak the heck out of things.

Seriously, very, very different looks depending on what you do.

But, as Walter mentions, there are some examples in the documentation.

Oh yes, I know the fx can be manipulated many ways. I was just hoping there were some examples somewhere of some of them.
    Thanks

We tried that for a while, and we found that it didn’t help at all—for the reason Michael mentioned. And it was a lot of work to create and maintain.
