  outlining a silloutte in After Effects

  Greetings Friends –

  I have a clean video of a silhouette that I am trying to make an animated line drawing from –

  like ‘stroking’ in photoshop

  is there a way to do this in AE?

  Jamie,

  Have you tried using the find edges plugin? You could combine that with minimax to get a unique look.

  You might also try the Vegas effect [link]. You probably won’t like the look of the default settings, but the effect is pretty flexible when you dig into the parameters.
