  Connection issues with Blackmagic Ultra Studio Express

  Hi guys I’m hoping someone can give me some advice as I’m sure it must be a simple solution.

  We have an iMac(27 inch, late 2012) 3.2Ghz intel core i5 with 24gig memory

  We have connected our simple audio both via xlr into the Ultra Studio Express and then via thunderbolt into the iMac but get nothing. I have read posts you need a video source for sync and have connected a camera via sdi into the Ultra but still nothing.

  The odd thing I can get playback from FCPX 10.2.3 on an external display monitor so the Mac can output via it just not capture anything through it.

  Please help or point in right direction
