  Ultrastudio 4K Thunderbolt2 – 4K Real time down converter?

  Hello,

  I need to buy a I/O device to one of my video edit setup. After all the research i’ve made the Utrastudio 4K Thunderbolt2 is my 98% sure to be my choice.

  I run Premiere or Final Cut on MacPro (late 2013) and my output monitor is a EIZO CX271 connected trough HDMI as second monitor (but I only use it as final output).
  My work is mostly editing in 4K timelines from Sony FS7 MXF.

  Question 01:
  Does the Ultrastudio OUTPUT do real time down convert to 1080p HDMI?
  That would save a lot of time not to make the down convert trough software.

  Question 02:
  Will the Ultrastudio 4K accelerate MXF hardware decoding? Or that is only the GPU work?
