I’ve been experiencing a very problematic problem. I setup a system ATEM Switcher to a Teranex 2D. Evertything works just fine. My multi view preview monitor works and shows all the cameras online, bars etc. Then for no reason (I’m not touching anything at the moment) some time into the production we lose the preview monitor. Nothing can make it come back. Not rebooting the whole system, swapping out of cables, nothing. Then a day later, surprise, it’s working again.

It would seem that, due to a lack of fan cooling that the HDMI port electronics are getting overheated. This is a 3 month old product. I am running the current version of their software. This is very disturbing and at least for this current production we have wired headsets and the director can call the shots live.

Has anyone else experienced this and know of a root cause? Is this just something I should return to BM and have them try and experience it?

The other option I might have is to get a monitor with SDI inputs.

    thoughts?
