  Looking for Playback software (from Mini Monitor / 4k de-embedder)

  Hi, I help out at a volunteer run cinema and we have recently connected our 2K cinema projector to a PC via SDI. We were going to use Axel You Play Free but are having problems with it. There is a piece of software called DrasticPreview which is around $250 but getting the money to pay for the blackmagic hardware was difficult enough (we did not realise we needed a de-embedder). The blackmagic bundled software is no good due to its very limited codec support. I have also spent several days trying to recompile VLC with SDI support but was unsuccessful (the support community are not very responsive). did have a look at CasperCG but bit fiddly for volunteers to use (needs to be fairly simple to use).

  So it there any other budget SDI playback software I should look at?
