  Can anyone confirm if embedded audio in the SDI is also routed to the output or does it end up being stripped out?

  Is genlocking required? I don’t need to use it to live switch but I don’t want any issues with the video/audio being out of sync when I do route signals.

  Any general issues I should know about?

  full 16 channels of audio are part of the routed signal.

  Genlock has no part in A/V sync issues – its only there to provide a ‘vertical interval’ switch reference if sources are genlocked.
