  Up Down Cross Converter .. work flow using fcp

  hi friends,

  we have got a bmd up down cross converter..

  our main purpose is to convert xdcam 1080 pal to 1080 ntsc ..

  from 25 frames to 29

  we also own a deck link pro card …

  can you explain the workflow of converting a 1080 p footage from fcp in mac to 1080 ntsc ..

  we are bit confused to how to capture it..

  we also own a nano flash card for digitally recording …

  from the Blackmagic website description:

  Use the cross converter to convert 720p to 1080i or 1080i to 720p so you can edit once and master in SD, 720p and 1080i video.

  You appear to be trying to go from 1080p to1080i, which is not listed in their specs.

  You might be better off trying to do the whole thing from within finalcut. Audio sync will become an issue i would imagine.
