Howdy. Is there a plan to update the software side of the Ultrascope anytime soon? It would be sooooooo nice to be able to select which scopes are on and to make them super big. I do not need the image to be up but I would love to have two waveforms and vectorscopes so one could be normal and the second scope magnified. I am young but my eyes are already lying to me.

    thanks,

    James

I just finished a new Resolve system today, and I wished for the same thing. It would be great to go FULL SCREEN on any scope, or even the monitor, at the selection of a menu – or choose “two up”.
I love the Ultrascope, and install it all the time – but some simple new menus would be great.

Have you checked out scopebox? It’s got that and tons more, plus works with any old decklink card and has broad hardware support.

hardware requirements spec have not been updated on the BMD site for quite a while.
Is there a standard “cheapest box” that people are using for the ultrascope?

Juan, would scope box run on a new 17″ macbook pro / bmd intensity extreme? (of course it would be analog component input)

It would run spectacularly. It’s only $99 and you can get a free trial.

that’s sweet. already have everything else and I don’t want to build a whole workstation around an ultrascope in case they come out with a pocket ver w/tbolt (seems like a no brainer product right?)

If I may jump in, are you inferring that Ultrascope software works with other Blackmagic cards like decklink?

No. Ultrascope software only works with ultrascope and a couple of other newly announced devices. The scopebox software on the other hand, works with regular old decklink cards and various other interfaces.
