  • Hyperdeck Shuttle uncompressed files- how to determine color space?

Posted by Brian Cooney on March 27, 2012 at 10:48 pm

Sorry if this is a dumb question- but I am not positive that all uncompressed is 4:2:2- I am not sure what the source was for these files and I am not even sure if they were captured from HDMI or HD-SDI- is there any way to determine the color space of the undelying video?

    Thanks

The hyperdeck only accepts and records 4:2:2 you’ve signals. That is normally 709 colors pace in hd. Though some cameras (f3) allow a log over 4:2:2 signal… So you could need to apply a lut to get a proper image. But yes, hyperdeck only record uncompressed 4:2:2.
