  • Iphone 4s not working with Intensity Shuttle?

    Hi everyone,

I recently got an iPhone 4s and an apple AV HDMI adapter to connect it to TVs and other things. It’s supposed to work with Intensity Extreme, but I cant get it to work with Intensity Shuttle.

I think the problem is that the iPhone may need EDID to connect or possible sends 1080p by default if no EDID, which the Shuttle cant capture (but the extreme can).

The iphone 4s works perfect with my TV which can display 720p60 but not 1080p60, so somehow the iPhone 4s adapts to the TV but not to the Intensity Shuttle.

Does anyone have any info or ideas on how I could approach this? I would like to get the iPhone to output 720p60 so the Intensity Shuttle can capture it.

There are a few solutions that i have thought about, and would appreciate your input.
    1. To buy a HDMI splitter and connect to the TV and hope that the TV 720p60 HDMI signal gets connected and split to the intensity shuttle (will that work you think?)
    2. To buy a Gefen HDMI Detective Plus, and copy the TV’s EDID settings, hoping that the iPhone will send 720p60 to the Shuttle https://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=8005
    3. To buy a Blue-Ray player, send 1080p60 into it from the iPhone, (screen mirroring and apps, no protected content), and output the signal as 720p60
    4. To buy a macbook pro and a intensity extreme (too expensive but would probably work – Im hoping for a cheaper solution).

    Any ideas/feedback?

I’m especially interested in if you think a splitter would work, and if so, which brands are good?
Also, do you think it would work with a unprotected stream sent via a Blu-Ray Player, or does everything get blocked from capture even if its not protected from the initial source?

    Best,
    Björn

Maybe a hdmi to sdi bmd converter would do it. But I’m sure simething like the Gefen DVI to SDI pro scaler works for this kinda job.
