  Thunderbolt Intensity Extreme sees no video

  OK, just got my Thunderbolt Intensity Extreme, today. Installed the SW, hooked up my D7000, set the formats at 1080p 24, each, and i get nothing. Hooked up my HVX200 (Component), set the SW to the correct format, and i get nothing.

  I get no pass-though of the image and only black clips.

  Yes, I’m changing the inputs on the Apple Preference Pane. Yes, I’m changing the formats on the BM Media Express Preference Pane. And yes, I know the D7000 outputs video with on-screen data. This is just a test.

  Any thoughts? Please make me slap my forehead in idiotic failure.

  well, ok. seems i can get plain old 640×480. So, I guess my FW800 Little Big Disk isn’t fast enough for HD. Crap. I guess i was gonna get an SSD in my MacBook Pro some time soon, anyway.

  Hi Carlo,

  The speed of your disks should not make a difference to whether you can receive the signal, it only matters when you start capturing.

  Most of these cameras output 1080i59.94 over HDMI even though they record 24p to disk. Have you tried going through the various project settings and see if any of them will show the preview signal?
