    MX Light has been updated to version 1.2

    Now includes support for the ATEM TVS’s/H264 Pro Recorder’s internal hardware scaler. Allowing fine grain control of output resolution.

    Further information can be found here https://www.mxlight.co.uk . An updated demo version is available on the download page.

    For those that may have missed it before:

    Feature overview:
    * Streaming support
    * Allows full HD interlaced capture
    * Fine grain control over output resolution
    * Optional preview (record/stream using only a few % cpu)
    * Super-compact interface
    * Fast operation via global keyboard shortcuts
    * Minimum hardware requirements
    * Works on XP, Vista and Window 7

    If you have any questions feel free to ask.

    Thanks

    Rich,

    Just wanted to let you know that we got HD capturing working just fine, though it was capturing at 25fps, not 29.97. We haven’t tried out this latest version, which allows you to change the frame-rate on capturing, but I will late this week.

    Regardless, so far, so good.

    What I really need is a way to stream to Ustream, and I’m sure it can be done, I just haven’t had a chance to mess with it too much. I’ll need Ustream come August.

    Keep up the good work, we all appreciate it.

    We will be looking to this one as well to see if we can use it to live stream Youtube events. One issue for us though may be Youtube needing specific bit rates etc that the H.264 Pro Recorder might not be able to be set to. Otherwise I guess it’s back to Adobe FME and a big CPU load.

    Hi Mike,

    Glad to hear it you got it working. Re: frame rate changes, the encoder only allows frame decimation eg. 50fps > 25fps, 59.94 > 29.97, 60fps > 30fps. So, its somewhat limited but still useful in a number of scenarios.

    There will be another minor update coming in the next few days (hence the delay in response!) which will make the resampling setup a little easier & more robust.

    Hi Patrick,

    MX Light allows fine grain control over audio/video bitrate & frame size. So I dont think this should be a problem. Version 1.3.0 should be available within the next few days, if you would like to have a play with the demo.
