Still no word RE: Intensity Pro Extreme?

haven’t heard anything else about this, q4 is long gone and still no word.

Is it vaporware?

Is it supported by Avid MC 6 like it says on the website?

Am i the only one that cares. lol

I care Neil! Same boat, want it for my new iMac. But I just broke and ordered the matrox tb adapter for my mxo2 mini, which I had hoped to leave lashed to my old MacPro 1,1. But I have a project to get out and want to finish it on a real monitor. Still have an ip extreme on order at bhphoto.

great to see im not the only one.. isnt this supposed to be an official forum and the only forum for blackmagic design? youd think someone that works there would chime in no ?

I have also pre-ordered the Intensity Extreme and received the following message from the macsales.com representative I’ve been working with today:

“Hello Chris,

I wanted to send you another update about the BlackMagic Design Intensity Extreme. Black Magic has finally gotten this product certified by Apple and while they have not yet confirmed a shipping date, we are hoping to get them by the end of the month.

Thank you for being so patient and if you have any questions please let me know.”

Looks like the product might actually be on the horizon now! Time will tell I guess.. I’d really like to get this thing ASAP so I can start working on the project I had in mind…

We have started shipping Intensity Extreme so you’ve ordered them, you should be getting them soon. They are just making their way to our various channels.

Any idea who they are actually being shipped to? every outlet I have checked still says they are weeks away from receiving them – mid march for some…

Hi Paul,

They have been shipped out from our manufacturing plant to our sales offices worldwide on Feb 10. They will then make their way down the distribution channel which shouldn’t take long more than a few days. Interesting enough, I saw this posted by a reseller in Japan.

I ordered one yesterday from Protel in Sweden and they said two weeks. Never had any issues with them, so I take their word for it.
