Our GPI / Tally interface arrived this morning, and we were gratified to have the tally work right out of the box without special configuration beyond the normal IP address setup. Hooray!

Here’s a question: how about adding the ability for the GPI inputs to be mapped to buttons on the control panel? We have several different applications for the TVS if we could make this work: one would want to map GPIs to the various source buttons on the program bus (enabling direct one-button switching, rather like controlling a Grass Valley Ten-X or Videotek RS12); the other application would be to map six of the GPIs to various source preview buttons, and the other two GPIs to the AUTO and CUT buttons. In both cases this would let us use the switcher for cases where we don’t necessarily want or need to dedicate a computer for control.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the positive comments.

We want to make use of the GPIs down the track and will investigate your suggestions further. There is no time frame for implemnting this at the moment.
