Blackmagick Decklink Extreme on Ubuntu 10.04
Good time of day!
Can I get some help from Blackmagic guru here?
I’m trying to install Decklink Extreme card on Ubuntu 10.04, but there’s no luck yet.
So, my lspci:
lspci | grep Blackmagic
28:00.0 PCI bridge: Blackmagic Design Device 8111 (rev 21)
29:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design Device a118 (rev 0e)I’ve downloaded the latest driver from BM site. Installation have passed successfully. After rebooting
lsmod | grep blackmagic
blackmagic 429221 0But no blackmagic devices has appeared in /dev
ls /dev
audio lp0 ram9 tty12 tty41 urandom
block mapper random tty13 tty42 usbmon0
bsg mcelog rfkill tty14 tty43 usbmon1
bus mem rtc tty15 tty44 usbmon2
......
cdrom1Blackmagic control center shows “No Blackmagic devices found” window.
I’ve tried other linux distros (openSUSE, Fedora), older card drivers, and even older Decklink Extreme PCI card too, but had the same results.
If somebody knows any receipts how to make Decklink work on linux, I’ll be very appreciate for it.
Thank you for advance
Iaroslav
