  • How can I use my blackmagic intensity pro as a desktop recorder / fraps?

    Hello,

I have recently been recording some game footage on my PC using fraps but the quality is not as good as the footage I get when recording my xbox 360 using my blackmagic intensity pro.

I am wondering if there is a way for me to record what I see on my computer using the blackmagic intensity pro.

    My computer specs are below:
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Quad Core 3.20 Ghz Processor
    8GB DDR3 RAM
VT Radeon HD 4870 512MB Ram Video Card
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS

My video card has 2 DVI ports and I have two 26″ monitors connected to them. My motherboard doesn’t have an HDMI out or I would have tried connecting an hdmi cable from their to the intensity pro.

The only other thing that I have thought of is connecting a dvi to hdmi cable from the graphics card to the blackmagic but if I do it that way the audio will not be recorded.

So if you have any suggestions on how I can use the blackmagic intensity pro as a desktop recording program similar to fraps/camtasia please let me know.

    Thanks
