  Sony Vegas Pro 10 – Blackmagic Decklink Studio 2

  Hello:

  I am trying to use a ‘Blackmagic Decklink Studio 2’ card for capturing and for previewing in Sony Vegas 10.

  For previewing over hdmi: I can select the device ‘Blackmagic Design Decklink’. It says “device connected” in the ‘Detail’ box. But when I click the button for preview on external monitor, there is no image in the monitor.

  For capturing over SDI: I can select the Device Type ‘Blackmagic Design Decklink’ in the Capture Preference dialog. The Device box remains grayed. And there is no input from the deck.

  Please, any help will be really appreciated!!!

  This is the system used:
  – Deck Sony HVR-M35U connected to the ‘Blackmagic Decklink Studio 2’ card over SDI cable.
  – Sony Vegas Pro 10
  – ‘Blackmagic Decklink Studio 2’ card. Driver 7.9.3.0.
  – Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Intel Core i7 3.33Ghz. 24GB RAM.

  Hello Frank,
  in your system description I don’t see your monitor (brand/model).
  If your monitor has the DVI-D input and you are converting the HDMI to it, it will not work (I made this experience…).
  I’m now using with the Studio 2 and Intensity Pro a cheap Asus VE248H, LED backlight, wonderful results on steady images, some blur on horizontal camera movements. I have another Asus full HD display, VE246H, identical design and chassis, but it is good as a VGA monitor, but a disaster as Video Monitor!
