Intensity Pro – capture Laptop’s HDMI outptut
Hi.
I was wondering if it is possible to capture HDMI output of a laptop using Intesity Pro HDMI input. It works if I use S-video, in which case laptop sees capture card as a secondary display, but no such luck with HDMI. -

If you have dispaly adapter settings for that HDMI output that’ll match the resoultion your capturing from, you should be able to get it to work. 1920-1080, 1280-720, 720-480, ntsc should work. Most use it for capturing 360 boxes, Xbox and camcorders. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

Like Danny mentions people have been sucessful capturing from various HDMI sources except those which may contain some type of content protection like HDCP, etc. from BluRay or other protected sources.

If your trying to capture a copyrighted DVD, try using the component input. It’s analog and should work.
