    Hi Gang,
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am looking at buying a 264 Pro Recorder to team with my MBP for capturing a live video stream (powerpoint via a scan converter provided by others) that may run to 90 minutes of continuous program. I had originally thought to use a PVR/DVR of some kind but it just seems that wrangling the files (stream conversion, burning to DVD or FTP etc etc ) seems too hard. Once captured the video will be integrated with that of the presenter shot on my HM-100 under fcp. I have produces a dozen or so sessions that were recorded to dvd but the workflow was tedious – there must be a better way 🙂

So, is recording direct to the Mac a stupid idea (or one fraught with danger) or do you think it is a safe approach to the problem.

    Yours Humbly,

    Charles.
