  Help!!! did decklink 7.6.4 update FCP 6.0.6 crashing

  I up dated Decklink Drivers on Monday and everything worked fine except I didn’t try to make a Matte, and now I every time I try to make a Color Matte in FCP 6 It crashes, I have a loaded weekend and need help
  Please.

  Here’s my system:

  8 core Macpro, OS 10.5.8, 8GB 800 DDR2
  QT 7.6.4
  FCP 6.06
  Decklink 7.5.2

  HELP

  Hi Dane

  This is not a problem I have seen so far, and I did actually use the matte generator in FCP today and didn’t encounter any problems, but this could have been different from what you are doing.

  I’ll email localy, Right now my workaround is make JPEGS in Photoshop
  and Import.

  I talked with tech-support here in California and there is a “just registered” bug with the new decklink drivers when working in 720p60
  DVCProHD (Just in 720p60 DVCProHD) with creating Mattes and Type in FCP 6 and 7.

  I am sure they will resolve/fix this soon, however in the meantime you can (as I have been) use Prores or just make your matte another way 🙂

  A fun way to get your DVCPROHD into FCP in a working format is to recapture it with your card, into BMD codec!
