    Hi-
I tried searching the forum, but did not come up with any references to the issue I am experiencing.

It seems our mini-converter SDI to Analog is compressing the video levels on downconvert. If I feed an overexposed (over 100 ire) HDSDI signal from Mojo DX (or directly from camera), the composite output is under 100 ire. I can’t get the composite out video levels above 100, and it appears to be compressing the levels as opposed to clipping them. It also appears that the black levels are being affected.

Has anyone else seen this issue? We have 3 converters which exhibit the same issue.

I updated to version 1.4 of the firmware and am still seeing this problem. I emailed Blackmagic support about the issues, but thought I would also post here to see if there are other solutions.

Any assistance or direction is appreciated.

    thanks,

    tom
